Light is necessary for the development of the plants. This Milwaukee SM700 meter gives you a resolution of as low as 1 lumen (lux)- and has 3 ranges, 0-1999 lux, 2000-19999 lux, and 20000 to 50000 lux, all in one meter!

SM700 is a portable Lux meter designed to perform light measurements. It is supplied with the light sensor and a 5' cable. Average indoor lighting ranges from 100 to 1000 Lux and average outdoor sun lihgts up to 50,000 Lux. The human eye is sensitive only to blue, green and red light, so in calculating the Lux falling on an object, only the light within our visible spectrum is counted. This meter is able to see all spectrums.
